Levels snowboarding

For all levels

Would you like to book a snowboard lesson or course, but you are not sure what level matches your experience? Then check out the videos that describe the different levels. In these videos our teachers show the techniques that match the different levels. The videos are made in ski area Wilder Kaiser (Ellmau, Sheffau, Going and Söll) in Austria.

Level 1

Beginner > Slightly advanced

Start / what is your level:
No snowboard experience / one introduction lesson
What will you learn:
You will learn to handle snowboard equipment, gliding, developing balance, braking, making curves and using the lift.

Level 2

Slightly advanced> Advanced

Start / what is your level:
You can use the T-bar lift independently, and make curves. You have followed 3 full days of snowboard lessons or previously followed level 1 at Skischool De Uithof.
What will you learn:
You will learn to improve your curves, improve the balance on your snowboard and the basic principles of freestyle.

Level 3

Advanced> Advanced Plus

Start / what is your level:
You can snowboard reasonably well, and can manage your speed and technique. You have at least 2 to 3 weeks of snowboard experience and/or followed 9 full days of snowboard lessons or previously followed level 2 at Skischool De Uithof.
What will you learn:
You will learn to snowboard more active, dynamic and creative. You will improve your curves riding on high speed and you will learn more freestyle tricks.

Level 4

Advanced Plus > Expert

Start / what is your level:
You are an experienced snowboarder who loves speed and a more difficult terrain. You can carve and are attracted to freestyle snowboarding. You have had plenty of lessons or previously followed level 3 at Skischool De Uithof or somewhere elsewhere (at a comparable level).
What will you learn:
You will learn to fine-tune your technique with tips and tops from our instructors, and will learn how to use your board in the best way possible, so you can snowboard even more dynamic, creative and effective.
