Levels skiing

For all levels

Would you like to book a ski lesson or course, but you are not sure what level matches your experience? Then check out the videos that describe the different levels. In these videos our teachers show the techniques that match the different levels. The videos are made in ski area Wilder Kaiser (Ellmau, Sheffau, Going and Söll) in Austria.

Level 1

Beginner > Slightly advanced

Start / what is your level:
No ski experience / one introduction lesson maximum.
What will you learn:
You will learn to handle ski equipment, gliding, developing balance, braking, making curves (snowplough curves) and using the lift.

Level 2

Slightly advanced> Advanced

Start / what is your level:
You can use the T-bar lift independently, you have at least one week of ski experience and/or followed 3 full days of ski lessons (break and snow plough curves) or previously followed level 1 at Skischool De Uithof.
What will you learn:
You will learn to improve your ski position, make snow plough curves and break sideways (hockey stop). You will learn to make the transition to parallel skiing.

Level 3

Advanced> Advanced Plus

Start / what is your level:
You can ski parallel, you have a good ski position and can break or stop abruptly. You have at least 2 to 3 weeks of ski experience and/or followed 9 full days of ski lessons or previously followed level 2 at Skischool De Uithof.
What will you learn:
You will learn to ski more active and dynamic. You will improve your parallel skiing technique and rhythm. You will also practice slalom skiing.

Level 4

Advanced Plus > Expert

Start / what is your level:
You are an experienced skier who loves speed. You can ski parallel and have control over your technique. If possible, you can be found in the mountains every year. You have had plenty of lessons or previously followed level 3 at Skischool De Uithof or somewhere elsewhere (at a comparable level).
What will you learn:
You will learn to fine-tune your technique with tips and tops from our instructors, so you can ski even more dynamic and effective. This allows you to enjoy your favorite sport in a relaxed way!
