Rules
Skiing and snowboarding is even more fun when everybody conducts to the following rules:
No entrance without ski- or snowboardboots.
Please obey all instructions from the staff.
Smoking, eating, drinking and bringing glass is not permitted.
Where protective clothing for your own security, gloves are obligatory.
Beginners are not allowed to use the draglifts and must obey the directions on the signs.
Please return rental gear
Beginners are obliged to take lessons
Lessons and instructions from any person other than staff of De Uithof are not permitted
Staff of De Uithof has to right to remove people from the snowslope when misbehaving, without a refund of purchased goods.
All skiers and snowboarders must have a valid liftpass
Children must be supervised by their parents at all times.
Its not permitted to acces the skilift at a point other than the entrance.
De Uithof is not responsible for the loss and/or theft of personal items and belongings, either are they responsible for damage and/or trauma caused during the stay in De Uithof.
The FIS rules apply to this facility:
1. Be considerate of other skiers: Be aware of people around you and take necessary action to avoid skiing dangerously or causing a hazard to yourself or others.
2. Control your direction and speed of travel, taking account of the terrain, snow, weather and traffic conditions
3. Select an appropriate path. If you are skiing behind someone its your responsibility to ski around them without causing any danger to them.
4. Overtaking: You can over-take from either left or right but you must leave enough distance between yourself and other skiers to allow them to maneuver properly.
5. Entering/reentering the slope: Every skier who wishes to enter a slope, or reenter it after making a stop, must look up and down the hill to ensure that this can be done without causing a hazard to himself or others.
6. Stopping: Avoid stopping at blind corners or narrow or enclosed places unless you have to i.e. youre injured. In the case of an injury you must vacate the spot as soon as possible, to avoid further danger (to yourself or others).
7. Ascending/descending: You must always use the side of the slope to walk up or down, whether on foot or with skis.
8. Pay attention to and follow the signs, markings and notices on the slopes.
9. Assistance: You are obliged to offer help and assistance in the event of any accident.
10. Proof of I.D: Every skier, whether a witness or personally involved in the accident, must provide their name, contact information etc.
