Speed skating…Probably the most traditional Dutch sport; and from the end of September to the beginning possible in De Uithof! On the semi-covered Olympic sized oval professionals train for upcoming championships, but beginners and recreational skaters also leave their marks on the ice. Do you want to learn how to skate, improve your techniques or simply want to become a great skater? Join our professional lessons at our ice skating school!
In the centre of the oval is the funrink situated, easy to reach via a walking bridge. In the funrink (the name says it all) there is no obligatory direction, as there is on the oval (counter clockwise).
Besides ‘normal’ speed skating De Uithof also offers figure skating, curling and ice hockey. The ice hockey dome is home to HYS The Hague, the only (professional) ice hockey club in The Hague.
Figure skating and short track are also possible in the ice hockey dome. During the summer the dome functiones as an eventhall; with more than 2000 seats is perfectly suitable for exhibitions, events and concerts.
